Senior Project Associate

Are you looking to begin a rewarding career in electrical project management?
 
The Project Associate is phase 2 of 3 on the path to becoming a Project Manager with one of the largest electrical technology companies in the country.
 
The Senior Project Associate reports directly to the project leader. This is a client-facing role that requires the ability to build relationships both in and out of the office. The core responsibility of a Senior Project Associate is to continue learning through on-the-job experience while gaining new responsibilities along the Project Management career path. 


Essential Job Functions
This is a list of the most prominent duties and responsibilities.
  • Understand Miller Electric’s service-based approach to the electrical project management process.
  • Build long-term relationships with your clients and fellow employees by earning trust through diligent communication and a high-quality work ethic.
  • Learn the fundamentals of estimating on large projects and assist with the preparation of proposals for new business.
  • Assist with project documentation, productivity tracking, change orders and collections.
  • Work with your team to ensure the project is built following design, budget, and schedule.
  • Learn the basics of estimating on large projects.
  • Collaborate with your field leaders to confirm client expectations and coordinate with subcontractors and other trades.
  • Assess construction progress, team needs, and issues through regular project visits with your field supervision. 
  • Work with vendors to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.

Education & Experience
REQUIRED
  • Bachelor's degree or IBEW licensed electrician
  • Strong computer & Google Suite skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Commitment to developing time management and organizational skills
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on learning environment

PREFERRED
  • Healthcare project management experience
  • Experience working in the construction industry
  • Familiar with computer-based estimating
  • Understanding of billing and collections
