The HSE Advisor is located in Salt Lake City, Utah and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) standards for operations in the Western United States. The HSE Advisor reports directly to the Manager, Health, Safety and Environment.


Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:


• Conducting jobsite audits of safe work practices and procedures,


• Conducting incident investigations,


• Conducting and/or coordinating health and safety training for all employees,


• Participating in development of safe work practices and procedures,


• Assisting in the promotion of Black & McDonald’s Internal Responsibility System,


• Coordinating and facilitating Joint Health & Safety Committee meetings,


• Ensuring compliance with all government or client regulations,


• Assisting in management of worker's compensation claims,


• Traveling up to 25% of the time, and


• Completing other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS


• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or commensurate experience


• 3+ years safety and health experience


WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS


• Must have working knowledge of OSHA standards and FMCSR


• Experience in Electrical Transmission and Distribution is highly preferred


• Strong interpersonal skills, displaying superior verbal and written communication skills


• Excellent time management and organization skills with ability to work collaboratively


• Holds self and others accountable


• Skilled in problem solving and innovation


• Must have an aptitude for learning
