Equipment Operator

B.H. Inc. of Cedar City, UT is looking to hire a full-time experienced and certified Heavy Equipment Operator to join our utility construction team. This specialized role involves the safe and precise operation of excavation equipment (e.g., mini-excavator, backhoe) for critical utility projects, primarily focusing on Enbridge Gas mains and services.

This is a field-based position that requires a high degree of technical skill, safety commitment, and versatility in supporting both digging and pipe fusion activities.

As an experienced Equipment Operator, you will earn $23 to $29 (depending on experience) per hour to start, paid weekly. The schedule for this position varies but is typically Monday-Friday 40-50 hours per week. You will also be eligible for benefits including health, vision, dental, life insurance, a 401k plan with match, and paid time off (PTO). QUALIFICATIONS

• Good experience with construction practices and a proven ability to safely operate various heavy equipment, including excavators, backhoes, and skid steers.

• Demonstrated experience or deep familiarity with digging around live utilities and/or working on gas utility projects (e.g., Enbridge Gas).

• Willingness to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.).

• Strong commitment to safety and the ability to strictly follow safety procedures and properly use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

• Good verbal communication skills for effective coordination with foremen and crew.
