Looking for your start into construction estimating? We are looking for a bright, motivated, talented and quick learner who enjoys completing take-offs from plans and doing whatever it takes to assist our estimators in any type of project they may need assistance with. The successful candidate will work with some of the best professionals in the estimating profession.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Working alongside laborers, operators, and truck drivers in all aspects of heavy civil construction
  • Managing critical path timelines
  • Participating in construction meetings with owners, architects, and engineers
  • Understanding construction plans and assisting in surveying
  • Assist in the day-to-day management of overall project operations, people, and processes to help in learning all facets of the construction industry
  • Assist Project Managers with technical compliance and oversight of construction activities and field operations
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, specifications, and related technical documents
  • Assist with project scheduling and coordination
  • Perform other duties as required

 

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a BA/BS degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or closely related field
  • Desire to pursue a career in estimating / cost management
  • Field and/or internship experience a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in On-Screen Takeoff a plus
  • Self-directed with high integrity – takes pride in work
  • Accurate and organized
  • Good comprehension of construction drawings and specifications
  • Understand and adhere to the Personal Protection Equipment requirements
