Job Overview
RME Holdings Operations LLC is hiring a seasoned Excavation/Earthwork Foreman to manage site development and utility excavation projects. In this leadership role, you will oversee crews responsible for grading, trenching, backfilling, and earthmoving operations. Your knowledge of heavy equipment, construction safety, and site coordination will ensure that jobs are completed efficiently, safely, and to spec.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise excavation crews on residential and commercial projects.
  • Coordinate site work including trenching, backfilling, grading, and utility installations.
  • Operate and oversee the use of heavy machinery such as excavators, dozers, and skid steers.
  • Interpret site plans, blueprints, and job specifications to guide excavation operations.
  • Monitor worksite safety and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
  • Communicate with project managers, subcontractors, and inspectors to ensure timelines and budgets are met.
  • Track daily production and crew performance, maintaining accurate job records.
  • Train and mentor team members to uphold RME's high standards of workmanship.
  • Adjust work schedules, resource allocation, and procedures as needed based on site conditions.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in excavation/earthwork, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
  • Extensive knowledge of grading, utility installation, trenching, and erosion control.
  • Proficient in reading construction drawings and performing site layout.
  • Skilled in operating heavy equipment (must have verifiable experience).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Understanding of excavation safety practices and OSHA regulations.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying conditions.

Working Conditions & Physical Effort:
  • Requires lifting, pushing, or pulling objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Physically able to stand, sit, move, squat, walk, and climb throughout the shift.
  • Work may involve exposure to extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, smoke, loud noises, and odors.
  • Ability to handle stress and work under deadlines.
