Job Description:
The Field Office Manager is responsible for ensuring the site office runs efficiently and smoothly from an administrative and team perspective. The Office Manager oversees the work of the Office Coordinator(s).Coordinate and manage onsite vendors including, but not limited to, custodial services, supply vendors, and catering, facilitating operations onsite.
Work with security team onsite to coordinate gate access, badging for employees and visitors onsite, and communicate obstructions to site access.
Manage office orders including office supplies, swag items, food, coffee, etc.
Oversee orders of plan drawings, site signage, and additional prints as needed.
Coordinate, plan, and execute all site and team events.
Work with City & County on site tours, site access, picking up and or dropping off drawings & checks.
Work with Safety team in scheduling orientation, setting up Craft Lunches, ordering supplies, site recognition, and safety week.
Oversee work of office coordinator(s) onsite, collaborating on projects and assigning tasks as relevant.
Act as the Community Liaison/Outreach: lead community outreach group onsite that reviews and approves community involvement opportunities, communicate opportunities to broader project team, and operate as the main point of contact for outside organizations.
Manage at least one team member, with responsibility for the hiring, development, performance management, and engagement of that individual.
Assist in other duties as assigned, relevant to the achievement of the position’s and team’s objectives.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in related degree program, or equivalent work experience.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and commitment to continuous improvement.
Autonomous, self-managed, and resourceful.
Eagerness to learn and ability to juggle multiple tasks while quickly adapting to new situations.
Proficient in MS Office Suite.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record in accordance with Fortis policy.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is performed in a professional office environment. Role is primarily stationary, often standing or sitting for long periods of time. Role may stand or walk throughout the office for up to 30 minutes at a time. Utilize standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc. Communication with internal and external contacts, including speaking and hearing. May occasionally move equipment up to 25 lbs.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
