Field Quality + Service Inspector

POSITION DESCRIPTION

 

Founded in 1990, Majestic is one of the largest manufacturers and installers of natural and engineered surfaces for the kitchen and bath in the southeastern United States. The Field Quality & Service Inspector is a full-time, hourly role based in the Charleston, SC region. This position focuses on building strong, consultative relationships with builders and internal team members involved in the installation process. Key responsibilities include performing on-site inspections and completing field repairs as needed.

 

• Communicate effectively and respectfully with customers, vendors and other employees via phone, email, or fax.
• Drive a company vehicle to job sites to perform assigned duties
• Conduct Quality Control Inspections of all installations
• Comply with management communications and reporting as requested.
• Appropriately identify and escalate customer issues and provide solutions. 
• Adhere to safety protocols and standards.
• Perform safety audits of subcontractors in the field. 
• Conduct Builder Satisfaction Surveys.
• Attend Job Site Planning or Safety Meetings.
• Makes field repairs on scratches, chips and stains.
• Makes seam adjustments.
• Modifies cutouts to accept new appliances, sinks, faucets, and accessories.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 1-3 years of related industry experience
• Possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record that meets the minimum requirements of the company's insurance provider.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Organized and timely to ensure all scheduled appointments are achieved and maintained in a professional manner, including any follow-ups.
• The position will require the following physical activities on a regular basis; Stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, handling and repetitive motions.
• Maintain a professional appearance and Majestic dress attire along with any safety requirements such hard hats.
• The maximum amount of weight required to be lifted will be less than 100 pounds.
• Position will be mobile and work from Company vehicle to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ability to utilize laptop and phone camera to communicate effectively on scheduled jobs.
• 3 to 7 years of construction and/or service experience.
