Description

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and conduct inventory of all Materials entering job site
  • Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in the warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or in Laydown areas.
  • Complete checks and balance of all packing slip, verify the accuracy of information, data has been inventoried, completed and turned into materials clerk prior to COB.
  • Unpack distributed equipment and materials; store in appropriate location until issued.
  • Notify appropriate department when ordered equipment and materials has arrived {If required deliver equipment and or Materials to appropriate department}
  • Maintain inventory control by continuous tracking and conducting a percentage of inventory monthly.
  • Use identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment to mark all goods.
  • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
  • Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damages to Materials Manager.
  • Provide assistance and direction to other Toolroom, Warehouse, Materials staff.

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Must have 5+ years of experience working in a warehouse.
  • Must have 2+ years of experience working for an industrial construction project in a warehouse or equivalent material handler position

 



Responsibilities

Position Requirements:

  • Must have working knowledge of the basic processes and equipment used in new construction
  • Must be organized
  • Must have the ability to complete an accurate inventory of items received, issued, and transferred
  • Must have good communication skills, including the ability to read and write effectively.
  • Must be familiar with basic computer operations. IE: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Must be able to follow directions.
  • Must be detailed Orientated
  • Must be able to train, advise and mentor direct reports

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current Zachry, Zachry ROF’ed employee or other Construction Project
  • Former experience working with Zachry Industrial, Inc. or other Construction Project 
  • Previous experience as a Foreman or above with Zachry Industrial, Inc. or other Construction Project

Physical Requirements

  • Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting and lifting. 
  • Will talk and hear to communicate. 
  • Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull:  objects, materials, controls and tools. 
  • May be required to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50lbs. 
  • Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off of platforms/scaffolding using the appropriate fall protection requirements. 
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE.
  • Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/spoggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves and leather steel-toed work boots.
