Freight Associate

Job summary

Ensure that all daily orders picked and packed are shipped to customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure all packed orders are shipped to the correct destination based on carrier code, mode of transportation, and destination.

• Ensure all orders are processed and shipped by the end of the day.
• Identify non-conforming products and report them to the Supervisor.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a shipping role.
• Familiarity with shipping computer systems.

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Ability to operate a pallet jack.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills across all departments.
• Ability to read, understand, and write in English.
• Proficient in operating inventory scanners.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Strong documentation skills.
• Dependable and reliable.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments.
• Customer service-oriented.
• Strong ability to prioritize tasks.
• Knowledge of products and warehouse processes.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements:

• This position regularly requires routine bending, crouching, lifting, and carrying products up to 50 lbs as part of daily activities.
• The ability to visually identify products by name in English and accurately count quantities using basic math skills.
• Regular use of general warehouse tools and equipment, including ladders, pallet jacks, inventory scanners, tape guns, brooms, and more.
