Job Description:
Β To operate truck, to fuel and grease heavy equipment and provide fluids as needed for the equipment.
Functional Requirements:
- Operate and drive a fuel and lube truck to various job sites in a safe and efficient manner.
- Follow all safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Keep shop and lube truck organized and clean.
- Communicate with team members to coordinate delivery schedules.
- Fuel up heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, and other machinery.
- Work with onsite supervision to support all job/ project needs for fuel, oils, supplies and minor maintenance of the equipment fleet as needed.
- Maintain accurate records with strong attention to detail. This includes: track Fuel, oil, DEF, grease, equipment hours and filters.
- Ensure sufficient inventory of all filters, fuel and oil.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
- Organize daily routine and maximize time and delivery methods.
- Assist mechanics on equipment maintenance, repair as needed.
- Report any incidents or mechanical issues to the appropriate personnel
Qualification Standards:
- Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) required with Tanker and Hazmat Endorsement.
- Clean MVR record.
- Florida Phosphate Certification.
- PREFERRED Valid MSHA Certification.
- Pass DOT drug screen and physical.
- Have a minimum of 1-2 years of Fuel/Lube truck driving experience or a minimum of 1-2 years of training with a minimum of 6 months of equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 1 years of field maintenance of heavy equipment experience.
- Willing to do laborer work.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and FMCSA guidelines governing the transportation of hazardous materials.
Physical Requirements:
- Must comply with companyβs drug and alcohol abuse policy.
- Must be able to pass physical examination, pre-employment if necessary, and as required by the company.
- Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways, etc.
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces (towers, vessels, excavations, etc.).
- Able to carry 50 lbs. of tool and/or materials. It is recommended to get assistance to lift items over 50 lbs. Check with your project supervisor or project safety director.
- Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work extended hours on your feet on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel, etc.)
