  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget and quality for multiple mid- to large-scale projects.
  • Produce and review complex CAD design drawings, maps, layouts, and construction plans for natural gas distribution and transmission systems.
  • Conduct final quality control reviews for accuracy, compliance, and constructability.
  • Prepare plans, profiles, details, and testing procedures.
  • Prepare detailed material lists, design calculations, cost related inputs, and documentation in support of project approvals and construction.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, project specifications, client standards, utility maps, and survey data to ensure designs meet all requirements.
  • Perform field visits to document existing conditions, verify measurements, and resolve design conflicts.
  • Collaborate closely with CAD technicians, engineers, project managers, operations personnel, construction teams, and permitting entities to ensure alignment and timely resolution of issues.
  • Communicate with external agencies to obtain existing utility record data.
  • Identify design efficiencies, recommend process improvements, and support continuous
enhancement of internal standards and workflows.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to CAD technicians and designers, including conducting QA/QC reviews of their work.
  • Support data and document entry across relevant project platforms and maintain organized project files.
  • Report safety, health, and quality issues to management as required.
  • Support management with special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
  • Familiarity with Maximo and Fieldbook preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, utility maps, as-built records, and field survey data.
  • Knowledge of civil design principles and utility infrastructure best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve design
    conflicts efficiently.
  • Excellent attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and quality control focus.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across
    disciplines.
