NOVA Engineering has an exciting opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in our Greenville, SC location.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct geotechnical investigations and site assessments.
- Responsible for preparing project proposals, managing projects, and interfacing directly with clients
- Perform soil and rock sampling, testing, and analysis.
- Prepare geotechnical reports and recommendations.
- Design and analyze foundations, retaining walls, and other geotechnical structures.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop engineering solutions.
- Monitor and inspect construction activities to ensure compliance with geotechnical specifications.
- Utilize geotechnical software for modeling and analysis.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) license is required or ability to obtain within 3 months
- 2 - 5 year of geotechnical engineering experience is required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent project management skills and leadership ability
- Availability and willingness for overnight travel
