Heavy Equipment Operator

Wharton-Smith, Inc. currently has immediate openings in the Orlando, FL Winter Garden, FL, Cocoa Beach, FL, Debary, FL, and Deland, FL, areas for Operators (Heavy Equipment) positions.

Primary responsibilities:  Operates heavy equipment including, but not limited to, backhoes, material handlers, excavators, dozers, and loaders for use in foundation excavation, site grading, material placement and pipe laying.

Technical skills: Read blueprints for grade work and elevations, Run large size excavator, dozer, loader.Certification as required by OSHA or Manufacturer for specific pieces of equipment.

 
Quaifications: 

• Prefer valid Driver’s license.
• Must have reliable transportation to get to job site.
• Successful completion of pre-employment screenings.
• Prefer construction experience

Preferred Skills:

• High School diploma and on-the-job training preferred.
• Prefer construction experience
