Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate heavy equipment including: backhoes, bulldozers, trackhoes, skid steers, loaders, and more.
  • Excavate to precise dimensions per construction drawings, sketches, and grade markers.
  • Perform backfilling and grading operations to specified finish grade.
  • Conduct regular preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
  • Execute safe operation of heavy equipment to move, load, excavate, grade and finish earthwork.
  • Perform a range of site activities such as:
    • Road building
    • Fine grading and finishing
    • Sloping and banking
    • Backfilling and trenching
    • Demolition
    • Stockpiling
    • Road surface maintenance
    • Utility excavation/installation

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years verifiable experience operating heavy equipment for underground utility and/or dirt work projects.
  • Prior experience in heavy civil construction environments.
  • Strong understanding of equipment capabilities and safe operating procedures.
  • Ability to read construction drawings and follow grade markers.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills – able to collaborate with foremen, operators, and laborers.
  • Safety-conscious mindset and strong attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Schedule:
  • Full-time | Monday to Friday
  • Typical 10-hour shifts, based on project needs

Work Location:
  • Greater Longview, TX Area – Primarily regional project sites with occasional travel based on project scope. Travel support and per diem provided when necessary.
