The Heavy Truck/Machinery Repair Shop Tech is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy trucks and equipment, as well as diagnosing and repairing diesel/gas engines and heavy equipment.
Responsibilities:
Repair drive trains, electrical systems, hydraulic system and other components on heavy trucks and equipment.
Utilize diagnostic equipment to isolate mechanical failure and troubleshooting.
Identify and solve mechanical and electrical issues such as motors, lights, air brakes, etc.
Perform preventative maintenance on heavy trucks and equipment.
Operate vehicles to diagnose problems and to verify that the vehicle is repaired.
Adhere to strict safety requirements and procedures.
Desired Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years as a heavy duty/diesel mechanic required
Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift to 40Β pounds
Ability to listen, follow directions and a strong desire to enhance skills
Ability to work independently or as a part of a team
A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required
Flexible schedule with strong attendance is required
