The HR Generalist will perform administrative and core HR duties related to the operations of the Human Resource Department and provides support to the organization. Ensures policies and procedures are administered in accordance with company, federal and state regulations. This is a hybrid position with expectations to work in the Rock Hill, SC office on average 2-3 days per week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

    Accountable for first level of support in answering employees' phone calls for general HR inquiries with a positive timely resolution.
    Act as first point of contact for HR related questions to employees at corporate office in Rock Hill, SC.
    Maintains working knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
    Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
    Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
    Assists with developing, coordinating and recommending changes for the improvement of workflow, processes, policies, and procedures to maintain compliance.
    Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, and employment law.
    Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training within the LMS of the HRIS system of record. This may include anti-harassment and discrimination training.
    Assist in creating site polies for new contracts awarded.
    Leads the response for verification of employment (VOE) requests.
    Provide administrative support to all HR Departments including but not limited to; Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, HRIS, Employee Relations, Benefit Administration, On/Offboarding, Orientation.
    Leads the response for unemployment claims (UI) and participates in telephone hearings and depositions.
    Performs other related duties as requested.

    Must possess the willingness and ability to complete and pass all pre-employment and employment screening requirements which may include but are not limited to medical, , background and substance abuse screenings
    Requires all employees, while on company business, to hold a valid DL and company approved MVR 

Education and Experience:

    High School diploma or GED certificate required; Associate degree preferred
    Five (5) years in Human Resources

Physical Requirements:

    Primarily consists of sedentary work with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer or using the telephone.
    Frequent sitting, talking, hearing and repetitive motions.
    Walking standing reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting required occasionally.
    Responsibility for various tasks carried out in the corporate office or home office.
    Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
    Travel required up to 10%, attending meetings, job fairs, projects as scheduled.
