Inside Machinist

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Inside Machinists for projects located in the Tampa, FL area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $26/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:        

• Assembly, install, modify & repair of various ship machinery, and systems
•  Set up, service, repair, align & test machines that operate on a mechanical and electromechanical basis
• Utilize tools such as lathes milling machines shapers and grinders to repair machine parts to manufacturer specifications
• Recommend changes related to the efficiency of setup and production
• Align & secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials
• Read micrometers with low tolerance
• Prepare written mechanical evaluations
• Read and work from blueprints

• 3+ years of machining experience
• General knowledge about ships and machinery
• Must pass drug screen
• Basic hand tools
