Become a Key Player as an Inspector Senior

You will ensure product quality and conformity by performing complex inspections and maintaining inspection records for the client. You will work onsite on the first shift (6:00 AM–2:30 PM or 7:00 AM–3:30 PM) and collaborate with production, engineering, and customer/source inspectors to support manufacturing and delivery.

Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team

  • Perform complex inspections on machined parts using a variety of measuring instruments to determine acceptance or rejection
  • Read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and specifications to set up and execute inspection plans
  • Conduct first article and envelope inspections, source inspections, and surface plate set-ups
  • Maintain accurate inspection, calibration, and rejection/acceptance records; manage final inspection record control
  • Investigate causes of customer returns and support corrective actions and root-cause analysis
  • Provide technical support and training on measurement techniques and inspection procedures
  • Participate in lean events, 5S, and continuous improvement activities

Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role

  • Six or more years of advanced geometric dimensioning and tolerancing experience and complex inspection work
  • Proficiency reading and interpreting complex blueprints, route sheets, test specifications, and military/customer requirements
  • Working knowledge of shop mathematics including trigonometry and ability to apply advanced math to tolerances
  • Demonstrated verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and effective problem-solving capability
  • Visual acuity including color perception and ability to pass a visual acuity exam
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform hands-on inspection tasks
  • Must meet the site's FAA/DOT random drug and alcohol program requirements

Here's What Else Might Help You Out

  • Experience operating CMM equipment and familiarity with ANSI Y14.5 dimensioning and tolerancing
  • Certification as a Level II Nondestructive Test Inspector in two or more disciplines (MIL-STD-410, PES1-29)
  • Knowledge of applicable military standards and specifications

Pay Range

$30.00/hour
