Inventory Analyst – Metronet

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Inventory Analyst will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing inventory across the company, identifying trends, and making recommendations to optimize inventory management. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure inventory accuracy and availability in support of internal and external customer needs.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for triaging and resolving issues within the Ask Inventory Jira ticket queue and supporting Inventory Specialists.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain and Accounting to execute and reconcile transactions related to physical audits and inventory variance reviews.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, risks, and operational inefficiencies, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Investigate, identify, and resolve inventory discrepancies to ensure data accuracy and system integrity.
  • Develop, generate, and interpret inventory control reports to support decision-making and performance monitoring.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls.
  • Perform additional analytical and operational duties as assigned.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory control or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Oracle EBS, Microsoft Excel, and other inventory management software.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work for prolonged periods while seated and a basic understanding of standard office equipment.

 

ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • May require after-hours and weekend work, as applicable.
  • This position is hybrid/on-site at the Evansville, IN location.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel across state lines, as applicable.
  • Review and update inventory policies and procedures to ensure alignment with operational needs and internal controls.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
