POSITION SUMMARY:

The Loan Administration Coordinator position exists to complete all informational requests and customer correspondence items for Loan Servicing, including mail, faxes, and emails. This position also exists to process customer insurance claims and to respond to both internal and external credit disputes by utilizing the E-Oscar automated system.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Receives, processes, and completes qualifying and non-qualifying customer correspondence.
  • Handles qualified written requests, notices of error, and requests for information.
  • Completes all correspondence in accordance with all applicable RESPA regulations.
  • Collaborates and coordinates with Correspondence clerks to ensure department accuracy and turnaround time goals.
  • Manages a portfolio of loans with open mortgage claims.
  • Accomplishes prompt processing insurance claim checks and opening of claim files.
  • Reviews insurance estimates of loss to determine covered damages.
  • Disburses funds for repairs and communicates frequently with the customer.
  • Communicates with the customer, contractors, and insurance companies to provide excellent customer experience.
  • Partners with Default Servicing department to determine proper application of insurance funds.
  • Investigates and respond to all internal and external credit disputes.
  • Communicates any reporting errors to senior and team leader.
  • Corrects errors by submitting updates through E-Oscar.
  • Responds to disputes, corrects errors, and submits updates through E-Oscar in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.
  • Processes and responds to internal credit requests from internal and external customers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent. 
  • College preferred, but not required.
  • Computer competency with Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of status accounts (default servicing) along with working knowledge and continued education of the Metro 2 Credit Bureau Guide a plus.
  • Ability to resolve customer service issues via telephone, fax, and email.
  • Must possess multi-tasking ability, self-motivated in their work, communication skills, and organizational skills.
  • A strong understanding of RESPA and all specific regulations pertaining to customer correspondence a plus.
  • Great attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and help team members in said environment.
  • Experience with Oracle and journal entries.
  • Collection and/or Customer Service experience a plus.                                                                           

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.
  • Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a telephone, calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • 75% communication methods completed over email.
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information at all times.
  • Ability to identify and assess account status and determine appropriate process.
  • Constantly works in an indoor temperature controlled, sealed window office environment.
