Lube Tech- SLC, UT
We are seeking a dependable and energetic Mechanic Assistant to support our maintenance team with maintenance upkeep in Salt Lake City. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals with a passion for automotive care, especially in lube tech and general maintenance tasks. You’ll work closely with the Mechanic Supervisor to ensure vehicles are safe, clean, and running smoothly.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance including:
- Oil changes
- Tire rotations and replacements
- Filter replacements
- Fluid checks and top-offs
- Assist with preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure vehicle readiness.
- Support basic mechanical repairs under supervision.
- Maintain vehicle appearance through cleaning and light cosmetic upkeep.
- Keep shop equipment and tools in working order by following usage guidelines and reporting issues.
- Help manage inventory by tracking supplies and assisting with orders.
- Record services performed and maintain accurate maintenance logs.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to lift and move equipment and parts.
- Strong time management and reliability.
- Safety-conscious and detail-oriented.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Personal tools and secure toolbox preferred.
