Responsible for: Ensure plant operates properly with little malfunctions for Brunswick
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Act as a champion for safety for the site. Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
Respond to safety and environmental hazards to eliminate them and maintain compliance with all regulatory agencies.
Ensure equipment/facility maintenance is planned, scheduled, and performed in a cost effective manner and in compliance with maintenance standards.
Ensure parts and appropriate tools are available to perform maintenance work.
Gather, analyze and interpret data from reliability centered maintenance tools (oil analysis, vibration monitoring, alignment, thermography, etc.)
Manage Asset Lists, PM compliance and regulatory schedule via CMMS
Assist production personnel with identifying system/equipment issues and solutions (trouble-shooting).
Recommend and implement changes to component specifications (materials, tolerances, speed, etc.)
Maintain and advise on use and disposition of stock items, rental equipment, etc.
Schedule weekly/daily maintenance activities for contractors
Responsible for the scheduling of all regulatory inspections, such as pressure vessel testing, MCC infrared testing, Cranes, man lifts, forklifts, railcar mover, etc.
Assist with preparation of long range planning, including infrastructure and risk assessments, 5 year capital plan, employee training plans, and budgeting.
Perform routine and emergency maintenance on analog electrical, electronic and pneumatic equipment and networks used to collect, process, transmit, receive and record data.
Proficiency with instrumentation and programmable logic controller work
Experience with low/medium voltage distribution equipment
Experience troubleshooting, proposing solutions.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
All maintenance personnel must be able to perform the following essential physical job functions daily:
The ability to stand and or walk frequently, to drive vehicles on company property and offsite.
The ability to climb on ladders or scaffolding and work above the shoulder frequently. The ability to occasionally bend/stoop, kneel, crouch, and squat while performing maintenance or visual inspections.
The ability to use both hands for frequent grasping and occasional fine manipulation and fingering.
The ability to frequently carry up to 50 pounds of weight distances of up to 100 feet. The ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds of weight from the floor to waist.
The ability to occasionally push or pull various items related to performing maintenance that could weigh as much as 75 pounds.
The ability to work at heights.
The ability to tolerate required personal protective equipment such as steel toe shoes, work gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, dust masks, safety belts and other harnesses.
