Description

We are seeking a BLOX is seeking a Forklift & Mobile Equipment Technician to support manufacturing operations by ensuring all forklifts, aerial lifts, and mobile equipment remain safe, reliable, and operational. This role is responsible for executing preventative maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs to minimize downtime and support uninterrupted production operations.

The Forklift & Mobile Equipment Technician plays a critical role in maintaining equipment uptime, enforcing safety standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the facility. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-focused, mechanically skilled, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Execute all scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) on forklifts, aerial lifts, and mobile equipment in accordance with established standard work procedures.
• Complete preventative maintenance documentation accurately and in real time to ensure maintenance records remain current and audit-ready.
• Inspect forklifts and mobile equipment to proactively identify wear, damage, safety concerns, and potential failure risks.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues with urgency to minimize operational downtime.
• Remove unsafe equipment from service immediately and coordinate corrective actions to restore safe operation.
• Maintain equipment to meet or exceed BLOX safety standards, OSHA requirements, and operational expectations.
• Support manufacturing operations by prioritizing repairs and responding quickly to equipment breakdowns and production needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready maintenance area in alignment with 5S and housekeeping standards.
• Follow and enforce all company safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO) requirements, and maintenance protocols.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, uptime, efficiency, and maintenance process improvements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience performing preventative maintenance and repairs on forklifts, aerial lifts, and mobile equipment.
• Strong working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, propane, diesel, electric, and electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, diagrams, and repair documentation.
• Basic computer skills and experience using maintenance tracking or work order systems.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and commitment to equipment reliability and safety.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and respond effectively in fast-paced, production-driven environments.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and safe maintenance practices.
• Forklift certification and/or aerial lift certification preferred.
• OSHA training or certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in forklift, industrial equipment, or mobile equipment maintenance preferred.
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs, stand, bend, kneel, and work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions.
• Strong work ethic, communication skills, and commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement.
