Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Marine Shipfitters for projects located in and around Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, WA. This is a full time opportunity with a pay rate of up to $32/hour based on experience plus $178/day per diem for Travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:
- Assemble, cut, & grind metal structural parts to include plates, bulkheads, strong backs, turnbuckles, & comealong
- Align parts in relation to eachother
- Tack & weld foundation andstructural members
- Perform layout work according to blueprints or reference lines
- Mark location of holes to be drilled
- Drive, wedge, & install temporary fasteners to hold part in place for welding
- Other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- Must have 5+ Years of Experience in the trade
- Must pass Background Check
- Must pass Drug Screen
- Must have OSHA 10 Maritime & Firewatch Certification
- Must have Reliable Transportation
- Must have knowledge of WAFS
- Proper PPE
- Safety Awareness
