The Mitigation Technician Trainee is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of radon mitigation systems. The Technician shows customers how to use their equipment, troubleshooting the equipment, building relationships with customers, and following company procedures. This position requires flexibility, strong time management, problem-solving and the ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
Essential Functions
• Inspect, repair, and install radon mitigation systems
• Conduct diagnostics on air flow (pressure filled extension tests), may require drilling into concrete/slab foundation
• Install mitigation materials; run pipes for ventilation and install fans
Required Skills/Abilities
• 1+ plus year construction, electrical, plumbing, HVAC experience, or building maintenance preferred
• Mechanically inclined
• Must have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving history and background check
Physical Requirements
- This job operates primarily in a field environment and routinely requires walking, climbing ladders and lifting of equipment.
- The job requires good physical health and ability to perform hands on construction work.
- Capable of occasionally working in crawl spaces, in attics and on roofs
- Must be able to regularly lift 60 pounds
- Ability to stand on your feet up to 8 hours a day
