OVERVIEW
  • The Mortgage Sales Director is responsible for leading, managing, and growing a high-performing team of Loan Officers. This position plays a crucial role in driving mortgage sales production, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, and developing strategies to expand market share. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mortgage sales, leadership, and business development, with a proven track record of achieving sales goals.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and manage a team of Loan Officers, providing guidance, support, and training to drive performance and ensure high-quality customer service.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve team and individual production goals, ensuring growth in loan originations.
  • Monitor team performance, providing feedback, coaching, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and productivity.
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard new Loan Officers, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary tools and resources to succeed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with realtors, builders, and other referral partners to expand the company’s reach and market presence.
  • Ensure that all loan origination activities are compliant with federal, state, and company regulations, including TRID, RESPA, and TILA.
  • Monitor the entire loan process, from application through closing, ensuring that all loans meet company guidelines and are processed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with operations, underwriting, and closing departments to address any issues that may arise during the loan process.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings to communicate goals, review performance, and share updates on products, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mortgage products, services, and market trends to effectively guide the team and address customer needs.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management regarding sales performance, market conditions, and areas for improvement.
  • Manage budgets, expenses, and resources to ensure profitability and cost-effectiveness.
JOB REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
  • 5+ years of mortgage sales experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving team performance.
  • Strong understanding of mortgage loan products, guidelines, and industry regulations (TRID, TILA, RESPA).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a sales team.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with referral partners, customers, and team members.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with loan origination software and CRM systems.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to make informed business decisions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field.
  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced mortgage lending environment.
  • Knowledge of Encompass or other mortgage software systems.

  • Base salary plus performance-based incentives/commission structure.
