Turner Industries Group is looking for experienced Auto/ Diesel Equipment Mechanics for long-term nested maintenance at a site in the Deer Park, TX area. The successful candidate will have experience working on heavy equipment, gas/ diesel engines, and hydraulic systems as well as small engine pieces of equipment such as golf carts and tractors. TWIC Required. This position offers:

  • Regular 40 Hours+ per week (Overtime after 40)
  • Sign-on bonus of $500 after 6 months, $1500 after 12 months, and $3000 after 18 months onsite.
  • Overtime and call-outs as needed - overtime paid at time-and-a-half

Equipment Mechanic Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs as well as preventative maintenance
  • Troubleshoot issues with diesel engines
  • Determine what parts and tools are necessary to make repairs
  • Complete shop paperwork
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area

Heavy Equipment Mechanic Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Post-secondary certificate or degree in engineering OR training as a mechanic is a plus
  • 5+ years of experience with diesel/heavy equipment repair
  • TWIC Card
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record

Per diem and relocation is not available for this position; the successful candidate will be a current resident in the Houston metro area.
