Part Runner

Job Summary:

The Parts Runner is responsible for efficiently delivering parts, tools, and equipment to project sites.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Maintains accurate records of parts and supplies.
• Monitors stock levels and reorders materials as needed.
• Coordinates with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely deliveries.
• Delivers parts, tools, and equipment to construction sites promptly.
• Follows designated routes and schedules to optimize efficiency.
• Verifies the accuracy of delivered items against purchase orders.
• Collaborates with project managers, foremen, and purchasing departments to understand project requirements.
• Provides regular updates on delivery status and potential delays.
• Inspects delivered items for quality and report any discrepancies.
• Ensures that all materials meet safety standards and regulations.
• Completes and maintains accurate delivery records.
• Keeps detailed logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of prior experience in a similar role, especially in the construction or logistics industry, is preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Excellent depth perception and reaction time.
• Visual acuity to follow hand signals, maintain logs and inspect and maintain machinery.
• Must be able to work outside, for long periods.
• Must be able to work in all-weather types, including extreme hot and cold temperatures.
