Payroll Specialist
SST DirectWe are seeking a Payroll Specialist to oversee payroll processing and timekeeping operations onsite for one of our key clients in Austin, TX. This is a salaried role with a typical schedule of Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, plus occasional Saturdays onsite and Sundays remote. This is a full-time, onsite position and may include discretionary bonuses.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support a payroll team
Manage all payroll processing, auditing, and timekeeping functions
Utilize systems including Fieldglass, Timerack, and Avionté
Resolve badging issues, missed punches, and time discrepancies
Audit payroll and per diem to ensure accuracy and compliance
Consult with contract employees regarding payroll questions or concerns
Ensure all hires are accurately reflected in payroll records
Qualifications:
Previous payroll processing and timekeeping experience required
Experience managing or mentoring a small team preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to audit for accuracy
Familiarity with Fieldglass, Timerack, or Avionté a plus
Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred
Flexible to work occasional weekends and longer hours as needed
