As Construction Manager III, you’ll be in the field, working onsite with the construction management and inspection teams and acting as a resource for colleagues with less experience. This role is critical in the planning, coordination and execution of natural gas pipeline projects, and safety is the highest priority.

Responsibilities/Expectations:

  • Accountable for front end construction planning, estimate development and analysis and contract management

  • Provides input in QA/QC staffing plans, construction cost/schedule management and liaison activities with stakeholders; proactively identifies and implements cost savings

  • Provides input on contracting strategy and contractor qualification/selection

  • Reviews contractor schedules, execution plans, and extra work claims

  • Develops and manages construction progress reporting

  • Performs audits of inspection processes and documentation requirements

  • Assists in construction closeout; material management before, during, and after construction

  • Provides onsite leadership to inspection team

  • Works closely with Land, Regulatory, and Engineering teams to complete pipeline construction feasibility studies and determine routing for new pipelines

  • Participates in the design process with Engineering and Operations teams

  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Years of Experience:

  • Required: High School Diploma/GED, a minimum of six (6) years’ related experience and CCM (CMAA) Certification

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science or Construction Management

Physical and Environment Work Requirements:

Must be able to:

  • Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces

  • Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed

  • Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time

  • Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)

  • Use hand tools

Other Requirements:

  • Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record

  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority

  • Needs proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Application and PC skills

Construction Manager II

The Construction Manager II will be in the field, working onsite with our construction management and inspection teams. This role is vital in the planning, coordination and execution of natural gas pipeline projects, and regards safety as the highest priority!
