Summary


The Plant Production Laborer is part of ATMI-Indy’s production team and is responsible for supporting daily manufacturing operations through safe, efficient, and quality-focused work. This position includes cleaning, preparing, and assembling materials used in precast concrete production.


Responsibilities

  • Keep assigned work areas clean and free of debris, including concrete, wood, plastics, foam, tie wire, rebar, and other materials
  • Clean and maintain formwork and casting surfaces
  • Refill production supplies and prepare materials for daily operations
  • Apply form oil and caulking as directed
  • Assemble wood formwork and install rebar reinforcement per instructions
  • Pour and finish wet concrete under supervision
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
  • Ability to use and read a measuring tape accurately
  • Basic understanding of blueprints and construction drawings
  • Basic math and problem-solving skills
  • Reliable attendance and work performance record
  • Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized workspace

Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Ability to bend, kneel, and work on elevated casting surfaces
  • Must be able to climb stairs or ladders and walk long distances in an industrial setting
  • Must be able to work in outdoor conditions that may include heat, cold, humidity, dust, and noise
  • First shift (starting at 4:00 a.m.)
  • 40–55+ hours per week, with occasional weekend work as required
