Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Plasma Table Operator to join our fabrication team. This Plasma Table Operator role is responsible for operating a Messer plasma cutting table to cut metal materials according to production specifications and blueprints. The Plasma Table Operator position requires at least 2 years of plasma cutting experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of plasma table operating experience (Messer experience preferred)
• Ability to read blueprints and measuring tools accurately
• Knowledge of metal fabrication processes and materials
• Experience with overhead cranes and/or forklifts (a plus)
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment

Key Responsibilities

The Plasma Table Operator role includes the following duties:

• Operate and monitor a Messer plasma table to cut metal components accurately and efficiently
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and cut files
• Set up materials, adjust machine parameters, and ensure proper machine operation
• Load and unload steel plates using overhead crane or forklift (as required)
• Inspect finished parts to verify dimensions and quality standards
• Perform basic machine maintenance and routine equipment checks
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow all company safety procedures and production guidelines

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Comfortable working in an industrial/fabrication environment
