A large EPC for utility scale renewable energy projects is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their team. The right candidate has a strong background in engineering, as well as experience in the renewable energy industry. You will:
Responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the preconstruction phase of construction projects including estimating costs, preparing budgets, and developing schedules.
Develop cost estimates and budgets for projects, participating in third parties RFP's.
Review project plans and specifications to determine project feasibility such as project siting constraints, land, solar panels, inverters, and racking technologies, BOP considerations and solar resource data to maximize project value.
The Job
Oversee the engineering basic design and support for project bidding process.
Compile conceptual estimates, including project benchmarks and other details for projects.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other design professionals to refine project plans.
Identify and negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers.
Develop schedules and timelines for project completion.
Managing the bidding process for subcontractors.
Providing regular updates to clients and team members on project progress.
Identify potential problems or issues that may arise during the preconstruction phase.
Education & Experience
BS in Construction Management or related field preferred.
2+ years of experience in preconstruction for wind and solar projects.
