THE OPPORTUNITY

Graduate internships at Cotality are more than just a learning experience; they are the launchpad. This is a 10-week immersive summer program where you won't just observe; you will participate in the day-to-day work environment and tackle real-world technology projects and address property business challenges.

Our Goal for You: This program is designed as a standalone, high-impact professional development experience, serving as a vital bridge between academia and the professional world. While we are committed to providing you with industry-leading skills, elite mentorship and valuable networking, please be aware that this is a fixed-term program that may or may not lead to a permanent role.

Location: We are focused on providing a hybrid experience, working a few days a week in one of our office locations and the remainder being remote, throughout the 10 weeks.  Our two largest employee centers are in Irvine, CA and Dallas, TX, with additional locations in San Diego, CA. Candidates should live within a commutable distance to these sites.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Core: You will be instrumental in working with Product Managers and TSG/Technology partners to enhance the current implementation of the mix panel tool within the Mortgage Solutions > AutomatIQ Borrower platform and prepare a report on end-user behavior at the end of the project. This data insights will help the product management team with heat maps and events that aid in enhancement of the product/features. 
  • Technical: Requirements Gathering, Data Science, BI Reporting Tools, SQL
  • Networking: Executive roundtable sessions, lunch and learns, product demos, technical workshops, and social networking events
  • A day in the life exposure: Hands-on experience working directly with the Product Managers, Client Delivery and Technology teams. Product demonstrations, job shadows and 1:1 session(s) with recent graduate employees, and more!

    • Participation in campus activities related to field preferred
    • Preferred minimum 3.0 cumulative collegiate grade point average, on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent preferred

    Job Qualifications:

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Academic Level: This program is specifically targeting Final-Year Students. Candidates should be currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program with a graduation date of Spring 2026 or Winter 2026.
    • Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future visa sponsorship. We are unable to accommodate students on international visas (e.g., F-1, J-1, H-1B) at this time.
    • Academic Standing: Completion of at least three years of relevant coursework. A preferred minimum GPA of 3.0.
    • Technical Skills:
      • Product Analytics Fundamentals
        Understanding of events, properties, funnels, retention, and user behavior concepts.

      • SQL & Data Analysis
        Ability to query, validate, and analyze event‑level data to generate insights.

      • Experience with Analytics or BI Tools
        Familiarity with Mixpanel (or similar tools) and ability to build dashboards/reports in Power BI/Tableau/Looker/Excel.

      • Basic Web/App Instrumentation Skills
        Comfort with JavaScript (or equivalent) to understand/validate event tracking implementation.

      • Requirements Gathering & Documentation
        Ability to translate workflows into an event taxonomy, create tracking plans, and document findings clearly.

    • The intern will gain exposure to foundational AI concepts as part of their analytics and product‑insights work. This includes:

      • Learning how AI can support product analytics, such as identifying patterns, summarizing trends, and enhancing interpretation of user‑behavior data.
      • Using AI‑assisted tools (where available) to help with documentation, data exploration, and insight generation.
      • Understanding responsible AI practices, including data privacy awareness, minimizing sensitive data usage, and ensuring transparency in how insights are created.
      • Participating in light AI‑focused learning sessions, workshops, or discussions to build familiarity with how AI is being explored across the organization.
      • Applying basic AI‑assisted reasoning to support product managers in making data‑driven decisions.
    • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership through campus organizations, previous internships, or community involvement.

    • Agility: Ability to learn Cotality’s proprietary products and flex to the work styles of a diverse, matrixed team.
    • Analytical Mindset: Solid problem-solving capabilities and the judgment to make data-driven decisions.
    • Drive: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
