Description

Hill International is seeking a Project Controls Coordinator in San Antonio, Texas

The Project Controls Coordinator is responsible for managing the administrative aspects of a construction project, including document control, contract management, scheduling, billing, and overall project coordination, ensuring smooth operations by maintaining organized records, tracking progress, and facilitating communication between all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.



Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and updating project schedules using tools such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
  • Monitor task progress, dependencies, and critical paths.
  • Support schedule reporting and variance analysis.
  • Help track project costs, budgets, commitments, and forecasts.
  • Prepare cost reports and perform basic cost variance analysis.
  • Support maintenance of project cost databases and documentation.
  • Compile weekly and monthly project status reports.
  • Maintain dashboards, logs, and project documentation.
  • Support data analysis to identify trends and potential risks.
  • Assist in tracking risks, issues, and change requests.
  • Update logs and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
  • Support impact analysis on cost and schedule as directed by senior staff.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, finance, and other stakeholders.
  • Help maintain project controls processes and best practices.
     


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in project controls, document control or contract administration.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with scheduling or cost tools is a plus.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work with large datasets and standardized reporting formats.
  • Experience with Power BI or data visualization tools.
