Job Scope and Tasks:

  • Collaborate with project managers to understand client requirements and translate them into effective mechanical engineering solutions.
  • Design, develop, and analyze mechanical systems and components for various projects, ensuring alignment with industry standards and client specifications.
  • Provide technical support during project planning and execution phases to ensure that all mechanical systems meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct engineering calculations, simulations, and analyses to verify the integrity and efficiency of designs.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies, related to mechanical design and project execution.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, including engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Assist in the selection and procurement of mechanical components and systems, ensuring they meet project specifications and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with external contractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure project timelines and goals are met.
  • Write inspection reports based on field documents, photos, and diagrams.
  • Participate in regular project meetings, providing engineering insight and ensuring alignment between engineering and project management goals.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of mechanical systems, recommending improvements or modifications as needed.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and continuous improvement of mechanical systems.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within construction, industrial, or manufacturing environments.
  • Proven experience in project support and working within multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with regulatory codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API) applicable to mechanical systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office programs

Skills, Abilities and Knowledge:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to various stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and industry standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to ensure compliance with all regulatory and client requirements.
  • Proficiency in engineering design tools and software, with the ability to produce accurate technical drawings and documents.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and effectively communicate engineering concepts to non-technical personnel.
