Job Title: Project Engineer 

Division Construction Division  - Utah County

Supervisor: Area Manager, Construction

Job Summary: Under the direction of the construction area manager, the project engineer is responsible to lead a construction workforce to carry out the strategic direction of the company. _____________________________________________________________________________________________ 

 

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Visualize, fulfill, and implement the company vision and core values. 
  • Manage and review job estimates. 
  • Assist in developing and monitoring job schedules. 
  • Study and understand job specifications. 
  • Assist in projection, organization, and implementation of project budgets and work under contract. 
  • Work to resolve procedures, complaints and construction issues. 
  • Assist in project submittals and transmittals. 
  • Review, understand, and adhere to all union contracts. 
  • Maintain insurable driving record. 
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental requirements.

Education and/or Experience: 

  • Bachelor of Science in civil engineering or construction management. 
  • Experience in management and road construction materials. 
  • Two years of progressive estimating and project management.

  • Proficient in HCSS, Heavy Bid, Microsoft Office; superior in Excel. 
  • Knowledge of Viewpoint software, primavera scheduling software, micro-satisfaction and inroads design software. 
  • Ability to foresee and resolve project conflicts.
