Overview

Position Summary:
Kelley Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to assist the on-site Project Leader(s) in project administration. The Field Engineer will work under the direction of the on-site leadership team for a particular project. This position requires proficient communication, administrative, and technical skills.

Job Duties:
  • Provide on-site support to field leadership.
  • On-site document control (i.e., daily logs, photos, lookaheads, RFI drafts)
  • QA/QC assistance and coordination 
  • Subcontractor and workforce coordination
  • Project controls input
  • Material and equipment coordination 
  • Time entries  
  • Responsible for as-builts 
  • Assist with project material and supply purchase.
  • Subcontractor/supplier solicitation 
  • Collaborate with Superintendent, Safety Engineer, and other project leaders. 
  • All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
  • An associate’s degree or greater in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of construction experience as an on-site intern or field engineer.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Possess strong analytical skills.
  • Must be detailed oriented.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Project, Word, and Adobe or Bluebeam pdf’s 
  • Ability to routinely use standard office equipment, including but not limited to keyboard, desktop/laptop computers, mobile/desktop phones, iPad, copy machines, fax machines and filing cabinets.
Physical Demands:
This job operates in a professional job site and/or office environment. This position requires walking, standing, reaching, lifting, and bending. Traversing rough terrain can be expected on the job site.
