Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of our church construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring quality, budget, and schedule adherence.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Lead all phases of church construction projects, from pre-construction to closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and church leadership to ensure project alignment with vision and goals.
  • Oversee subcontractor selection, contract negotiations, and performance management.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, enforce safety standards, and address any project issues.
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, keeping them informed on progress and addressing concerns.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Foster a positive team environment and mentor assistant project managers and other staff.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: 5+ years in commercial construction project management, preferably with church or worship facility experience.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, etc.).
  • In-depth knowledge of construction best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
