About the Position

The Project Manager – Heavy Civil will oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of civil construction projects across the DFW Metroplex. This role requires a proactive leader capable of managing budgets, schedules, contracts, and field operations while coordinating closely with project engineers, estimators, superintendents, and clients.

The Project Manager will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of all contract documents including plans, specifications, owner contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders
  • Manage project schedules and oversee long-term planning and execution
  • Establish project objectives, procedures, policies, and performance standards aligned with company goals
  • Coordinate communication across internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and consultants
  • Prepare and negotiate contracts, revisions, and change orders with stakeholders
  • Prepare and submit project budgets, progress reports, and cost tracking reports
  • Plan, organize, and direct activities related to construction and infrastructure projects
  • Enforce safety standards and mitigate project risks across all scopes of work
  • Provide administrative direction to field Superintendents to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget
  • Oversee project lifecycle from mobilization through closeout

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field required
  • 3–5+ years of experience as a Project Manager or similar role in heavy civil or commercial construction
  • Experience managing projects in both public and private sectors preferred
  • Strong understanding of heavy civil construction practices
  • Experience with construction software including Primavera P6, HeavyJob, Bluebeam, and CAD
  • Strong budgeting, scheduling, and contract management skills
