This position is responsible for handling complex payables activities, ensuring accuracy of payables activities and compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements. This role is responsible for managing accounts payable related ledger accounts. To perform this job requires proficiency in automated accounting systems and interfacing with clients, auditors, vendors, project management and other company disciplines. This role provides guidance and training to other analysts, technicians, and clerks, and evaluates their work.
• Process project related vendor and subcontractor invoices and check requests, including verification of appropriate supporting documentation
• Coordinate payment of project vendor and subcontractor invoices in accordance with company controls, commercial terms, and project procedures
• Coordinate processing activities performed by Project accounts payable (AP) team members
• Ensure all work performed adheres to generally accepted accounting practices and company/client policies and procedures
• Maintain close coordination with project controls, procurement and contracts
• Coordinate with other finance disciplines as required for successful project execution
• Other duties as assigned• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and eight (8) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twelve (12) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner• One (1) year of supervisory experience
• SAP Accounts Payable system experienceUS Citizenship is required
