Construction Project Scheduler
JOB DESCRIPTION
 
Reports To: Director of Construction Operations
 
Deliverables Required:
  • Master Project Schedules (MS Project)
  • Lookahead Schedules (Procore)
  • Multi-Project Subcontractor Coordination (Procore)
 
Major Objectives:
The Construction Project Scheduler is responsible for supporting the Director of Construction Operations and Project Management teams in developing, maintaining, and reporting upon detailed project schedules. This position ensures Master Project Schedule details are accurate, consistent, and monitored through the project life cycle. This role will support the Director of Construction Operations in auditing and ensuring Lookahead schedules are implemented and continuously updated for each project.
 
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Preconstruction, Development, and Project Management to develop and maintain detailed schedules of construction projects using MS Project.
  • Integrate multiple schedules into a master project schedule, baseline, status, and monitoring.
  • Develop and maintain summary level schedule reports, such as, Gantt, Milestone charts, and other tools to support critical path analysis
  • Collaborate with the project teams to gather and analyze information to prepare reports on the progress of projects.
  • Support the Project Management team in the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting.  
  • Work with Project Management to standardize the project scheduling approach to facilitate accuracy in project execution and reporting.
  • Troubleshoot and monitor potential scheduling problems.
  • Facilitate and participate in weekly schedule reviews.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert to train Field Operations & Project Management staff to learn, or increase skills, in project scheduling.
  • Maintain positive relationships with all Garrett Companies Personnel.
 
Prerequisites:
  • Must have a degree from an accredited university with a focus in Construction, Engineering, or relevant field of study.
  • Minimum of 5 years of construction project management experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experiences using MS Project or Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel. 
  • Subject matter expertise using MS Project to manage an integrated master schedule and supporting project schedules.
  • Ability to operate independently and effectively report in written and verbal formats.
  • Ability to build consensus, manage details, and anticipate issues.
  • Ability to understand a goal and work as a team to achieve such.
  • Manage multiple projects of schedule enforcement and development.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Ability to think 2+ steps ahead and anticipate what comes next.
