Quality Manager / CMM Inspector

IDP TM, Inc. is an AS9100D and ISO 9001 certified CNC machine shop that designs and manufactures precision parts for industries including Defense, Medical, Commercial, and Aerospace.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Manager / CMM Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure that the quality management system is compliant and maintained per AS9100 Standards and perform inspection of First articles. This position involves performing inspections, utilizing various quality assurance methodologies, and collaborating with production teams to maintain quality throughout the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities:

• 1st article inspection per AS9100 3-page format.
• Typing up all quality docs in a timely and efficient manner.
• Works with a manufacturing ERP system (E2 shop software).
• Surface plate inspection using mics, calipers and height gages.
• Receiving Inspection and OSP verification.
• Create programs on the CMM for in-process or FA Inspections using PC-DMIS 2020 or newer.
• Maintain Shop Travelers through completion of job.
• Create procedures for all processes with production and quality personnel and manage quality personnel as needed.
• Maintain supplier evaluation performance.
• Meets with all material review board members for regular scheduled meetings.
• Maintain calibration of equipment.
• Inspect for Final Inspection and spot check production processes where needed.
• Maintain the AS9100 Quality Management Standards as described in our Quality Manual.
• Track and Input monthly quality metrics.
• Initiate in process inspection forms and fill out with guidance of the programming department.
• Continuous improvement.
• Manage and enter all RMA’s and CAR reports (Vendor and Customer related).
• Evaluate procedures every 6 months to a year with management.
• Other duties as required by Management.

Requirements:

• Solid experience in a machine shop environment with the ability to converse with Aerospace Primes.
• Strong typing skills with a focus in GD&T, surface plate and PC-DMIS CMM programming knowledge a must.

• Surface Plate Inspection: 2 years 

• PC-DMIS CMM Programming: 2 years

Compensation:

• $25.00 - $45.00 per hour.
