Overview

The Regional General Superintendent here at Blue Heron is responsible for the successful delivery and completion of all Blue Heron Elite construction projects within a Region, specifically through management and development of all field superintendents, client services personnel and craft labor. 



Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Lead all aspects of BH Elite’s safety culture and create awareness by demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment through individual actions and mentoring others. Investigates safety incidents and retrains staff and needed.
  • Support and reinforce Blue Heron’s Core Values across all field construction operations, acting as a coach, leader, and negotiator, as necessary. 
  • Implement and support programs that will ensure the highest quality “end product” is achieved while meeting and/or exceeding target schedule and financial goals.
  • Act as a construction liaison to other functions and divisions within the Company, the local community and construction/development industry.
  • Participate in strategic and tactical planning for BH Elite’s business, with emphasis on growth in volume, staff development and development of trade relationships.
  • Manage field staffing, including recruiting, developing and retaining superintendents, and trade labor. 
  • Review the progress of all BH Elite Projects against the planned schedule, to maintain progress, support teams with project challenges, and help in developing recovery schedules as necessary.
  • Identify risks and provide recommendations for mitigation to the project team and company executives. 


Requirements

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of construction experience, custom home building experience is a plus.
  • 10+ years of field supervision experience
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally.
  • Knowledge of organizational structure and available resources.
  • Thorough knowledge of project processes and how each supports the successful completion of a project.
