Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Residential Construction Intern to provide support to our team through all phases of the residential construction process involving permitting, purchasing, and construction management. This is an excellent opportunity to gain real-world experience in residential homebuilding and project coordination. This position is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Construction Management.

Key Responsibilities

Permitting:

• Assist with permit applications and tracking through local municipalities

• Support in compiling required documentation and site plans

Purchasing:

• Help review and issue purchase orders to subcontractors and suppliers

• Assist in tracking materials and delivery timelines

• Communicate with vendors to confirm availability and pricing

• Aid in maintaining accurate procurement records and cost data

Construction Support:

• Conduct site visits to observe progress and compliance with construction documents

• Document construction milestones and field notes

• Assist the construction manager in scheduling subcontractors

• Support quality control and punch list completions

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a degree for Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Interest in residential home building and construction operations

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Reliable transportation to office and job sites in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and surrounding area

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
