Your Future Role:
A Landscape Construction Foreman (team leader) leads a 3 to 6 person crew that installs new and renovates existing landscapes. We design and install award-winning landscapes by collaborating with our customers to meet their goals. This role achieves this by installing the best-suited plant material for the high desert, the most water efficient irrigation systems, structurally sound and beautiful hardscapes, natural water features, long lasting and realistic artificial turf and inviting landscape lighting. The Residential Construction Foreman works with a residential project manager, a landscape designer and his/her crew on a daily basis. This position is responsible for overseeing all activities on the job from demolition to final walk through while developing relations and serving the customer from start to finish.
Your Specific Job Responsibilities:
- Works with landscape designer and project manager to develop the construction plan
- Thoroughly understands scope of work, budget and estimated amount of time to complete
- Orders most materials and receipts (light paperwork responsibilities)
- Coordinates deliveries and upcoming activities
- Oversees day to day construction activities
- Solves unexpected problems
- Ensure equipment & vehicles are working properly
- Ensures quality of completed work meets Moana Nursery standards
- Delegates work while training teammates to do it properly (manages team)
- Keeps project on schedule and communicates when it is not
- Works with Project Manager to execute contract and manage project change orders
- Ensures teamβs time and pay is accurate
- Communicates with customers and Moana teams daily
- Provides outstanding customer service
- Leaves our customers with finished projects that will succeed
Physical Requirements & Activity:
- This position works outside 12 months a year in all conditions
- Applicant must be able to lift 75 lbs
- Applicant must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Expertise & Experience Requirements:
- At least 3 years in experience in landscape construction
- Applicant must have an OSHA-30 or be able to obtain one
- Valid NV Driverβs License
- Read and execute landscape plans
Nice To Have Skills or Experiences:
- Bilingual in English & Spanish
- I.C.P.I. Certification
- Q.W.E.L Certification
- Certified Landscape Technician
Your Future Work Schedule:
Our landscape teams typically work Monday through Friday from 7am to 3:30 with occasional overtime and weekend work.
Your Future Salary & Benefits:
