Residential Remodeling & Construction Project Manager Job Description Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000 Salary plus company matched 401k retirement plan.
Location: Moscow Idaho & Pullman Washington, two beautiful college towns in the Pacific Northwest.
Main Responsibilities: You'll oversee multiple residential remodeling, new construction, or light commercial projects from start to finish. While you may put on your tool belt when necessary, your primary focus will be on managing teams, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining schedules, ensuring safety, and delivering an exceptional client experience.
Minimum Requirements:

10+ years experience in residential carpentry. Light commercial construction experience is a plus.
Tech savvy with experience with project management software (e.g., Buildertrend, Google Workspace tools, etc.). Experience with CAD software (especially Chief Architect) is a strong plus.

Cheerful, no-gossip, hard-working environment.

Specific Duties:
Own the jobsite. You're the on-site leader for residential remodels, new builds, and light commercial projects. Quality, safety, professionalism, and site appearance are all your responsibility.
Plan and launch each job. Collaborate with the design team to review budgets, attend pre-construction meetings, and help develop project plans. Break down daily tasks, set labor needs, and help get everyone aligned before day one.
Direct labor and subs. Organize and lead field crews. Schedule, supervise, and inspect subcontractor work. Resolve layout and sequencing issues. Keep performance high and morale higher.
Coordinate materials. Communicate with our Project Coordinator to estimate and order materials, verify deliveries, and manage takeoffs. Ensure accuracy, minimize downtime, and avoid jobsite supply runs.
Track and report. Maintain jobsite paperwork and records. Update progress, report schedule issues, and communicate daily.
Manage changes. Estimate and approve change orders with the contractor and client. Never proceed without documentation.
Ensure site safety and cleanliness. Uphold clean, hazard-free jobsites. Protect tools, materials, and client property. Enforce safety practices and site security.
Deliver an exceptional client experience. Build trust through clear communication, professionalism, and consistency. Handle routine client questions, escalate bigger concerns, and follow up after the job is done.
Maintain schedule and inspections. Monitor progress daily, notify the office of delays, and keep projects moving. Schedule inspections and obtain the Certificate of Occupancy.
Punch list and warranty. Create and close out the punch list. Follow up on warranty calls to ensure long-term client satisfaction.
Represent the brand. Post and maintain signage, assist with local marketing where appropriate, and always reflect the company's values and reputation.
