  • No per diem available, ideal for local candidates.
  • The project should run another 2 to 3 months, day and night shifts available
  • 6 10s schedule, Monday - Saturday. Time and a half after 40 hrs
  • Night shift available
  • NCCER or NCCCO is required, $37/ hr day shift, $38.59 night shift
  • Background check and drug test required

General Job Description:

Assembles rigging to lift and move equipment or material on maintenance and construction projects.
Non-exempt role; Reports to the Foreman; Assigned duties according to specific procedures / work is checked frequently.

Functional Requirements:

Selects cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks and sheaves according to weight and size of load to be moved,
Attaches pulley and blocks to fixed overhead structures, such as beams, ceilings and gin pole booms, with bolts
and clamps, Attaches load to crane hook with grappling devices, such as loops, wires, ropes and chains, Gives
directions to equipment operator engaged in hoisting and moving loads , Ensures the safety of workers and
material handlers using hand signals, loudspeaker or telephone, Sets up, braces and rigs hoisting equipment,
Splices rope and wire to repair slings and tackles, May direct workers engaged in hoisting of machinery and
equipment into ships, railroad cars or trucks, Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction

Qualification Standards:

  • (4) years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level)
  • NCCER or NCCCO Certification
  • Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
  • Hazard Communication orientation/test
  • Turner Industries Group, LLC indoctrination
  • OSHA approved corrective eyewear (Z87)
  • Job site orientation
  • Job site safety requirements as required (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)
  • Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)
  • Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the work place
