RT Inspector

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced RT Inspectors for projects located in and around Newport News, VA.  This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rate up to $46/hour based on experience plus $120/Per Diem for Travelers 60+ miles from the job site.  If you are a Radiography Testing Inspector eager to demonstrate your knowledge and skills while learning new ones, this is your chance to advance in your career!

Job Scope: 

• Perform inspections to ensure the integrity and safety of materials and structures

• Conduct NDT, RT and UT inspections per industry standards
• Interpret and evaluate test results
• Prepare inspection reports and documentation
• Collaborate with team members to ensure quality assurance
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies

• Experience in Radiographic Testing (RT) and Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
• Minimum of 4 years of documented continuous experience performing inspections in PT, MT, and VT OR RT and UT methods within the past 9 months
• Current certification as Level II in PT, MT, VT or UT and RT methods per ASNT SNT-TC-1A 2001 Edition or later
• Successful completion of written general theory and procedure-specific examinations
• Proven ability to operate NDT equipment, record results, and analyze information
• Valid vision acuity exam results using Jaeger 1 letters at a distance of not less than 12 inches within the last year
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to the shipbuilding industry
