What You Will Do…
As the Safety Coordinator, you will spend much of your time in the field to monitor and reinforce safety best practices relating OSHA/MSHA, and commercial driving (DOT/FMCSA).
From facilitating incident learning teams and safety meetings, to developing and conducting engaging employee trainings, you’ll play an integral part as we stand together to reinvent the way our world is built.
This position will support all lines of business (aggregates, asphalt, ready-mix and construction) . 
Qualifications:
3-5 years of safety management experience.
It must be within a heavy civil construction environment.
Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices.
Proven engagement and influence skills, with the capacity to build strong relationships and provide meaningful coaching and feedback to a diverse workforce.
Passion for employee safety and continuous improvement through innovation. 
Preferred Qualifications:
Safety certifications such as ASP, CHST, OSHA 510/500, Competent Person Trainings, MSHA Blue Card, or related.
Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience managing safety programs in a heavy-civil construction environment (not vertical/commercial construction, petroleum, solar, electrical, manufacturing, telcom), with an understanding of risk identification and mitigation associated with job sites that are located on major highways, trench/excavation, underground wet utilities, site construction, and closely related tasks.
